Expenses can be organized more efficiently with specialized software. Instead of writing the information on a piece of paper and risk losing it, you can manage and save it on your hard drive, where it will be much safer. The problem is that most finance organizers are too difficult to understand. They feature a vast amount of options and different screens which will confuse you. This can not be said about YourMoneyGuard. It will help you keep track of your monthly income and expenses, using a calendar based interface. Due to its smart design, you will never get lost in complex options and overcrowded windows.

The software can be installed after downloading a 2.19 Mb setup file. You will need to install MS .NET Framework 4.0 before anything else, otherwise you will not be able to run the setup file. The program's system requirements are low and it is compatible with Windows XP (SP3), Vista and Win 7.

A calendar is displayed on the main area of the interface. Clicking one of its dates will open a new window, where you may add a new transaction. The options for creating a new transaction are found on the lower half of this window and once you save it, the transaction will be listed on the upper half. Using simple dialog boxes, drop menus and radio buttons, you can specify the transaction's name, type (income or expense), its category, the used account and, of course, the amount of money.

It is possible to add multiple transactions on the same date. The payed and received sums will be displayed, in different colors, on the calendar's cells. You can see the entire month on the interface, so there is no need to click any Back or Next buttons to see a specific date. Thus, the software provides you with an excellent view of your monthly transactions.

With the options on the toolbar, you can switch from the calendar view to statistics and reports. The statistics view will display your incomes and expenses in a table of contents. The software can be set to display these statistics for a certain period of time. This can be done by selecting a starting month and an ending one, from two drop menus on the left side of the window. It is also possible to filter the information, according to a certain account.

In the Reports section, the software will display the total amount of spent or received money, on different categories. The information is illustrated as colored charts and pies, making it easy to see where your money comes from and where it goes. Accounts and categories are predefined, but you may also create your own, on separate windows, by clicking the options on the toolbar. You can also find options for setting up monthly expense limits and recurring transactions.
